Connecting Service to Opportunity: 14th Annual Hiring Red, White, & YOU! Brings Veterans and Employers Together for Successful Employment

Coastal Bend, Texas — Workforce Solutions Coastal Bend (WFSCB), in partnership with the Texas Workforce Commission and the Texas Veterans Commission, proudly announces the 14th Annual Hiring Red, White & YOU! Statewide Hiring Event, the largest hiring fair in the Coastal Bend! Please join us Wednesday, November 12, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Hilliard Center – Henry Garrett Ballroom. Veterans and transitioning service members will receive priority entrance from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by public access from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

“This event is about connecting service to opportunity, linking the dedication of our Veterans with the Coastal Bend’s growing industries,” said Ken Treviño, WFSCB President/CEO. “Every conversation and every connection at this event has the potential to strengthen the local workforce and growth in our community.”

Employers Ready to Hire

More than 85 employers will be on-site offering hundreds of positions in energy, healthcare, education, manufacturing, public safety, and other high-demand industries. Participating employers include Tesla, Valero, Port Corpus Christi Authority, AEP Texas, Christus Health, Driscoll Children’s Hospital, Corpus Christi Police Department, Texas Department of Transportation, HCA Healthcare, Goodwill Industries of South Texas, Del Mar College, and Rally Credit Union.

Job seekers are encouraged to bring multiple copies of their resume, dress professionally, and be prepared for on-the-spot interviews. Workforce Professionals will be available to assist with resume reviews, interview preparation, and program enrollment.

Event Highlights

The Opening Ceremony will begin at 9:45 AM, featuring a welcome by Ken Treviño, WFSCB President/CEO, the Presentation of Colors by the Coastal Bend State Veteran Cemetery Memorial Service Detachment, the Pledge of Allegiance by JJ De La Cerda from Nueces County Veteran Services, and the National Anthem performed by Katherine Mireles. Guest speakers include Mr. Raynaldo De Los Santos, Jr., WFSCB Board Chairman, and Ms. Jewell Patricio, Senior Associate General Counsel with the Texas Workforce Commission, followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
