Workforce Solutions Coastal Bend kicks off a Summer Work Program for Students with Disabilities with the Summer Earn & Learn (SEAL) Signing Day!

Corpus Christi, TX – Workforce Solutions Coastal Bend and Texas Workforce Solutions – Vocational Rehabilitation Services are excited to host the Summer Earn & Learn Signing Day on June 5, 2023, from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm at the La Palmera Mall – Food Court 5488 S. Padre Island Dr. Corpus Christi, TX 78411. This event will celebrate and welcome the Summer Earn & Learn participants of 2023, as well as the employers who are hiring them for summer jobs. Lunch will be provided. Students will receive a workforce welcome package and a certificate to sign, recognizing their dedication to join this summer work program.

Summer Earn & Learn connects local employers to students with disabilities who want to gain experience in the workforce. WFSCB provides no-cost training and hourly wages to support this summer employment opportunity. Through this initiative, students develop the skills and confidence needed to succeed in the workforce, and will conclude at the end of the summer with a new range of work-based skills to add to their resume. This is a paid opportunity, so students will “Earn While They Learn”.
